How to Spy on Amazon Video Ads

A complete guide to using SaveAMZ to detect, capture, download, and analyze competitor video ads on Amazon. From installation to building your ad intelligence library.

Step 1: Install the Chrome Extension

Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for "SaveAMZ" or click the install link on our homepage.

Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm the permissions. SaveAMZ only needs access to Amazon pages — it does not read your data on other websites.

Once installed, you will see the SaveAMZ icon in your browser toolbar. Click it to open the popup and create your free account.

Step 2: Browse Amazon and Detect Video Ads

Navigate to any Amazon page — search results, product pages, or category pages. SaveAMZ works automatically in the background.

When a video ad is detected, you will see a small badge appear on the video player with a "Save" button.

SaveAMZ detects three types of video ads: Sponsored Brand Video (SBV), Sponsored Product Video (SPV), and Sponsored Display Video (SDV).

A panel at the bottom-right of the page shows all detected videos with thumbnails and metadata.

Step 3: Save and Download Video Ads

Click the "Save" button on any detected video ad to save it to your library. The video URL, brand name, ASIN, product info, and search context are all captured automatically.

Open the SaveAMZ popup to see all your saved videos. Click the download button to save the MP4 file to your computer.

Use the search bar in the popup to find specific videos by brand, keyword, or ASIN.

Mark videos as favorites for quick access later.

Step 4: Organize Your Ad Library

Add custom tags to videos to organize them by campaign, niche, or creative style (e.g., "competitor", "trending", "holiday-sale").

Use the filter tabs in the popup to view all videos, favorites only, or search results.

Export your entire library as CSV or JSON from the popup menu for reporting or team sharing.
